Crafts

I recently have discovered the joy of crafting!
Well I had always been a very creative child
and somewhere that completely disappeared over the years.
I use to make some pretty weird but interesting things!
Like a wig for my grandpa out of strips of paper
and the usual fruit loop and macaroni necklace.
One time I even made a model of teeth out of tootsie rolls!
...okay so maybe that last one was just weird...
But I had thought about how I used to love creating things
and decided I needed to get back into it (minus the tootsie rolls).
I really like doing wood crafts and was told
I could spend as much money as I want on my crafts
since they benefit our future home haha!!
Here are some of the things I've made...

What would you do?

I've been thinking about this lady I know who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was told she had 1-2 months left to live. She is such a lively lady with so much energy and spunk! She is great to have around and is so so sweet! When I heard this sad news I couldn't believe it. It makes me so sad to know there are things out there that can so quickly take your life away. You just never know what is going to happen. It's made me think a lot about my life. What would happen if something like that happened to me? I'm not trying to make this seem like a depressing post but to have everyone really think about their everyday lives. Life can get busy and at times seem too hard to handle, but there is good that comes with each day. Don't take your life for granted. This lady does not deserve to have this happen to her but I'm sure she is still living each day to the fullest. What would you do if you didn't have much longer to live? That would be a depressing and very scary thing to be told. But I know that I would be doing everything I could to stay positive! I would list some of the things I would do in my last days but that makes this post too real and sad. It was something I was just breifly thinking about to help me realize that no matter how crazy and hard life may seem at times is that it's my life! I am grateful for my life and each day I have to make it better. There are times I can't wait for the future and whats to come and there are times that I just have to take one day at a time. Yes, there are things I wish I could slightly change but I know it's all happening this way for a reason.
Remember to:
-Not get upset over the small things
-Forgive & Forget
-Always say "I love you"
-Live each day to the fullest

The Mysterious Leprechaun

Yesterday being St. Patrick's Day, the kids came home from school all excited about the teachings of that day at school...Mitchell especially! He came home convinced to catch a leprechaun! All of us were laughing at him and telling him leprechauns weren't real. He was sure to prove us wrong! He was collecting things to make a trap and I had a long day already and just wanted the kids in bed so I sent them upstairs telling Mitch to please just go to bed. Well later when I went upstairs I noticed this string trailed down the hall.
I went into Mitchell's room and saw the string tied to his dresser

trailed down the hall into the bathroom

 and attached to this

a Leprechaun trap!!

I laughed and of course had to do something about all of this! Taylor was still awake and told him to come help me. So we went downstairs and collected a bunch of the green clovers shapes out of the Lucky Charms cereal box and a bottle of green paint. Taylor kept telling me how dumb I was cause I thought it was so funny, but it was!! I was thinking of Mitchell's reaction and how funny it was going to be when he saw this in the morning.
I took his coins and replaced it with a note that said "Nice try!"

trailed the Lucky Charms across the floor

painted green footprints on the ground leading out the window

and made it look like Mr. Leprechaun jumped up onto the window sill and climbed out the window!

I even trailed the Lucky Charms off the edge of the roof!

The next morning Mitchell woke up and was so surprised to see that a leprechaun had actually been there and left him all these marshmallows! I told him sorry I doubted him and that I was so surprised as well!! Taylor reassured me I was going to be a good mom because I loved doing this so much! haha
-Happy St. Patrick's Day-

Drive Safe

I know that the snow storms are close to over, or so we thought so, but please drive safe during those snow storms! At about midnight last night I was on my way down to Salt Lake with my dad. The snow was coming down really hard and we were going very slow. Next thing we knew the truck just up ahead of us slid over a few lanes hit the median and then flipped over and landed on it's side. We immediately pulled over in front of them, I called 911, and my dad jumped out to go help them. Highway Patrol was sent out and on their way. As I jumped out to go help all I could think of was another car sliding off and hitting us. The bottom of the truck was facing traffic so we weren't able to see any of the traffic coming our way. My dad had the same worry! I ran up to the truck laying flipped on its driver side praying for  the best but expecting the worst. As I got closer my dad yelled to me that there was a baby. It was a young couple with their little 10 month old baby girl in the back seat. The mom was able to unbuckle herself and get the baby's car seat unbuckled and fit out the window. My dad had made sure that no one was pinned or severely injured as I took the baby back to the truck to keep her warm. As I uncovered her form her blankets I was so happy to see this sweet smiling baby unharmed! Ah it was such a relief!! She was just as calm as could be as she played with her toy and I fed her cheerios. The firetruck and ambulance got there quick and pulled out the mom and dad. The dad walked away with a scraped up arm, the mom had a hurt shoulder, and everyone was just pretty shaken up! You never think you'll witness a crash like that. It was a scary thing to be involved in but glad we could help them. That sweet family is so lucky and they were all wearing their seat belts. I am so thankful no one was severely hurt and that my dad and I were able to stay safe while helping them.
Just a reminder to Drive Slow in the snow and Buckle Up...
You never know what could happen!!

Update

I don't feel like I am too good at this blogging business but I like to attempt it every now and then. I don't feel like I have time and feel like most of my blogs are titled "Update"! And yes, this is another update...

Hospital:
So once again, I have been in and out of doctor's offices and emergency rooms, been poked at (and missed) multiple times, been tearful and hopeful, heard the good news and bad news, had CT scans and ultrasounds, and am tired of it all. Long story short, they weren't sure what was going on about 2 weeks ago. I have been having horrible pain in my right lower abdomen area. They thought it was my appendix or had a small ruptured ovarian cyst but couldn't figure out why I was having this horrible pain. in the process of searching for an answer on the right they found a large ovarian cyst on the left, twice the size of my ovary. I was sent to an OB Surgeon who just wanted to take out my ovaries and we immediately went for a second opinion from another doctor. We found that the ovary on the left is only getting bigger and I was scheduled for surgery. He is hoping that while in surgery to remove the cyst on the left that he may be able to see a reason for the pain on the right. He thinks that it is endometriosis and that if it is it will be easily removed as well. There is a chance that I could lose an ovary with the size and placement of the cyst on the left but he is very hopeful that he will just be able to remove it safely. I am just ready for the pain and the fear of the unknown to be over!! Surgery is TODAY and I am anxious and very nervous. This isn't just some wisdom teeth surgery. This is my precious cargo and my future we're talking about here! I hope and pray that all goes well and I will give an update on how it goes. I'm staying positive!!

Moving:
I have moved home and hoping that its not for too long. I loved where I lived but I was just never there and decided to move home and save some money. Well I thought I'd be saving money but I haven't been able to work and have a load of medical bills now. I guess I was meant to move home for a reason. I just wish it was a different reason than this. But still...staying positive!

Love:
He has been at my side throughout everything that has been going on. I couldn't ask for anything more from him. He has made sure I am well taken care of and in good hands. He brought me treats to the hospital, stayed there by my side for hours, rushed to get me a grilled cheese the second I made a nasty face while eating their nasty lunch haha, brought me wedding magazines and any magazine with a Kardashian on the cover, got me my favorite ice cream and brought me home with an ice cream cake for my parents that said "It's A Girl" haha my parents thought it was pretty funny! He has come to every appointment with me, recorded me every time they draw my blood so I can laugh and see what a baby I am after, comforted me through my tears and reassures me that everything will all be okay, and is constantly making sure I have everything I need and that I'm feeling okay all day every day! I am so in love with the most amazing man. I am one lucky girl to have him by my side!

February:
I love this month of love! Yes, this month includes Valentines Day but that day is not all this month is about. It's a whole month of love, being in love, loving the things around you. I have many things to love this  year.
I love my family and appreciate them being there for me through everything going on.
I love Him more than he could ever know and couldn't ask for anything better.

I hope you all have something to love this month.
Enjoy being in love and don't take that love for granted.
