The Mysterious Leprechaun

Yesterday being St. Patrick's Day, the kids came home from school all excited about the teachings of that day at school...Mitchell especially! He came home convinced to catch a leprechaun! All of us were laughing at him and telling him leprechauns weren't real. He was sure to prove us wrong! He was collecting things to make a trap and I had a long day already and just wanted the kids in bed so I sent them upstairs telling Mitch to please just go to bed. Well later when I went upstairs I noticed this string trailed down the hall.
I went into Mitchell's room and saw the string tied to his dresser

trailed down the hall into the bathroom

 and attached to this

a Leprechaun trap!!

I laughed and of course had to do something about all of this! Taylor was still awake and told him to come help me. So we went downstairs and collected a bunch of the green clovers shapes out of the Lucky Charms cereal box and a bottle of green paint. Taylor kept telling me how dumb I was cause I thought it was so funny, but it was!! I was thinking of Mitchell's reaction and how funny it was going to be when he saw this in the morning.
I took his coins and replaced it with a note that said "Nice try!"

trailed the Lucky Charms across the floor

painted green footprints on the ground leading out the window

and made it look like Mr. Leprechaun jumped up onto the window sill and climbed out the window!

I even trailed the Lucky Charms off the edge of the roof!

The next morning Mitchell woke up and was so surprised to see that a leprechaun had actually been there and left him all these marshmallows! I told him sorry I doubted him and that I was so surprised as well!! Taylor reassured me I was going to be a good mom because I loved doing this so much! haha
-Happy St. Patrick's Day-
