Mrs. Erin Miller

My best friend Erin got married on August 14th and her day couldn't have been more perfect. It was so much fun living with Erin and going to the wedding expo's together, dress shopping, having our emotional "Bride Wars" dress moment, going cake testing, shopping for outfits for

her engagements, getting our bridesmaid dresses, shopping for the perfect shoes, and much much more! The beginning to end process was a lot of work for Erin and her family! But I was glad I got to be a part of it and be her Maid of Honor on her big day!

Wedding Shower
It was so much fun to plan Erin's shower along with two of the other bridesmaids, Aubree & Nicole. We decided to give Erin a "Good Housewife" themed shower since Erin loves the typical 50's Good Housewife Guide. If any of you have read that it's a little insane that women really used to follow it but if you haven't read it, click here. So we decided to do everything 50's...except for the food. We weren't about to serve tuna noodle casserole, sardine and bacon rolls, and shrimp puffs at Erin's bridal shower. You don't think they ate that? Go google it, it's true! So we had a delicious bacon & pear salad, Aubree's

amazing rolls on a stick, fruit kabobs, eclairs & lemon maurang pie for dessert, and lemonade. It turned out so cute and Aubree did a great job with decorating. We ate lunch and then opened gifts. On everyone's invitation, they were assigned a housewife chore category in which to buy her gift. There was

cleaning, cooking, laundry, gardening, and pleasing your husband! It was fun to see what everyone got for her! Then we played games and sat around and talked for a while. It all turned out to be a great shower! Thanks Aubs & Nicole!!

Bachelorette Party
For Erin's Bachelorette Party, we first went out to dinner at Tres Hombres. It was so yummy and fun to be with friends! After dinner we did a quick Harmon's stop for treats and then went to the Hilton

downtown to spend the night. Aubree had gone earlier that day and set up a bunch of "Naughty & Nice" treats and decorated. Thanks again Aubs! What would I do without you?! Then we had martinelli's and opened presents! That turned out to be so entertaining! We read the books and tried things on...enough

said. We did face masks, took a bunch of hilarious pictures, and painted nails. I am so lucky to have the most amazing group of girl friends ever!! We had a blast!

Rehearsal Dinner
Aubree and I got the chance to be a part of her rehearsal dinner the night before her wedding. It was held in Erin's parent's backyard. It was catered by Joe Morley's and was sooooo good. Aubree and I walked around and took pictures of the tables, people, decorations, and the food. While we were eating, we went
around and introduced ourselves and how we knew Erin and Zane. After we ate we gathered around and both of their families got gifts for Erin & Zane to survive with one another. It was amusing! Then we
gathered around one final time to watch the pre-wedding video that was made by David Perry. He is simply amazing! The video captured their personalities perfectly and was very well done!

Wedding Day
The big day was finally here! Erin & I slept out on her couches and her mom came down to wake us up (at 4:45 am) while singing "Going to the temple and your gonna get married"! It was the cutest thing

ever! I love her mom :) We got up and went to Erin's 5:30 am hair appointment. Brooke, Lizzie, Nicole, and Brooke were all there with us as well. We got breakfast at the Corner Bakery and hung out as we
watched Erin get her hair done. She looked beautiful! Then it was rush rush rush from there on. I ran

Erin home so she could get to the temple. Then I went and met the other girls at Aubree's house for all of us to get ready to be down at the temple for when she came out. That was such a great moment for me. My best friend was married and was so happy. I couldn't help but cry when I saw her walk through

those doors as the new Mrs. Miller! We took a bunch of pictures around the temple and then we got to go back to Aubree's where we met Parker and Zach and went to lunch at Citrus Grill. Then we got to relax for about 30 minutes before we had to get ready again and head up to the Miller's for the rest of the evening. We got up there and helped Erin get ready. Erin and I bought a blue flower hair piece just like the one from Bride Wars that we were both going to wear on our wedding days together but it got left at

Erin's house and there was no way of getting it :( But we put her hair up in a low side bun with pretty white flowers in it, did our make up, curled hair, put on dresses, and we were set! We took a bunch of fun pictures outside which I can't wait to see!!!! Then it was time to head upstairs for the ring ceremony.

But before we did that Erin pulled me aside with the photographer and asked her to take pictures of me putting this in her hair. It was the blue flower pin! Erin's dad was able to bring it up to us. We started crying and I hope she knows how much it meant to me that I got to have that long awaiting moment with my best friend. It was a great moment to share. Then we went upstairs for the ring ceremony and then it

was party time! The reception was absolutely GORGEOUS! The weather was just right, it wasn't too hot, the food was great, she had an ice cream bar, and it was all perfect! Then came time to dance and yes, the girls danced around Erin as we sang "Everything" by Michael Buble. We all had so much fun! Brookie caught the bouquet which was perfect! And we saw Erin and Zane off with a bunch of sparklers. The night was over and my feet couldn't have hurt any worse haha.

The summer weddings have come and gone and I am so glad I got to be a part of them. I am so happy for Erin and Nicole and wish them both the best of luck as they start their new married lives. All I can say, once again, is that I have the most amazing friends in the world. I love you girls!!
