I opened up and down the gold fishy went. Well, mine at least! Erin's was flipping around in her throat and she had to drink more water...yuck! Mine went down but I could feel it wiggle in my throat! Ugh, weird I know!! So after that we danced, had yummy ice cream, otter pops, met hot boys from Chi who stamped us with their Chi symbol and made us headbands, and then danced some more! I am so excited to be in such a fun group and I've loved getting to know these girls more and look forward to more fun things in Beta!!Monday, September 7, 2009
Beta
A few weeks ago, I rushed for the LDSSA sorority, Beta, and got in! Yay!! My good friend
Lindsay, is in it and she talked Erin, Nicole, and I, into rushing for it this semester! So we figured it would be fun and decided to give it a try. Our first day of rush we went up to the Huntsman Center and watched each group do a skit and went around to each group afterwards so we could get a feel of how each group was. I found
out that my cousin was the president of Beta which I was even more excited about. We are like 3rd cousins haha so I never see her! Then 2 days later we met at the Institute building to find out which sorority we made it into and then went to meet with our girls! Erin, Nicole, and I all made it into Beta! We were so excited!! So we met with all the girls
that were there that night which was around 30 girls (there are about 50 girls total)! We played getting to know you games which were really funny and had yummy treats! We got to know the officers better and ordered our t-shirts! Then we all got bandannas to wear to show we were all in Beta a
nd went up to the carnival for all the sororities and fraternities! So we walked around, met a ton of people, danced, and ate all the yummy treats! At one of the booths they had a bunch of goldfish in cups of water. So Erin and I each th
rew one of the ping pong balls into a cup and they brought us both a cup with a goldfish in it! Oh how cute, a little goldfish to take home...in our tummy!! Yes, thats right, we had to eat the poor, innocent goldfish. And with everyone yelling "Chug, chug, chug", it's kind of hard to turn down. Erin was lucky and had a little baby one. Mine was normal sized, about 2-3 inches long. So on the count of three, Erin and
