My Sister's Wedding

Last Saturday August 22, 2009, my sister McKenzie married Kirby Wood. We are so exited to have Kirby as part of our family! The wedding was beautiful and it was so much fun to plan. Yes, very stressful but tons of fun! Erin and I are obsessed with weddings ….OBSESSED!! Haha so we were super excited for this day to come. She and I were up late the night before. We went to bed at around 2 and had to wake up at 5 to shower, get ready, and be up in Bountiful by 7:30 to get the girl’s hair done. Surprisingly, we were on time! I was so proud of myself haha cause if any of you know me, I am late to everything!! My mom, sister Ashlyn, me, and the BRIDE, got our hair done allll pretty. Then Erin and I went to the gas station to get Diet Cokes! Erin said it wouldn’t a morning with the Gulbransen Family without soda at 9am! Once we got home it was rush, rush, rush to hurry and get ready to take pictures! After we fixed the make-up, put on the dresses, and me having a few panic attacks haha we were ready to take pictures! I love having my picture taken, if it's on my good side haha! So we took pictures as everyone was coming and being seated for the ceremony. It was about that time and Kenz and Kirby came around the corner together. They were taking a picture with the cute little flower girl, Hannah, and the ring bearer, Travis, Kenzie looked down to see the groom's ring was missing!! Yes, missing ...somewhere in the grass! So down we all went on our hands and knees looking for this black ring in the dark grass! After about 10 minutes, Rem found the ring! Hallelujah!! Finally, it was time to start. I was so nervous! I think I was more nervous that Kenz and Kirb haha So the gates opened and down walked Hailey, the cute little bride's maid, then Ashlyn, the other bride's maid, then I went, and then the ring bearer, Travis, and then walked the flower girl, Hannah! She was sooooo cute and she would take a few steps and then throw a hand full of the flower pedals! She is adorable! Then the gates opened and down came the bride on my dad's arm. She looks so beautiful, I couldn't help but tear up. I was just so happy for her!! They exchanged rings and became husband and wife. Yay, finally! After so much planning and waiting for this day to come, it had finally happened! Then we took even more pictures, changed, and went to the brunch! It was so much fun! I sat at the table with Pat, Erin, and Jordan. The food was sooo good and I, as the maid of honor, gave a toast along with the best man, Andrew. Then we went back home where Erin and I took a nap while watching Bride Wars, our favorite! Nap time passed and we got ready again for the reception. I was excited to see all these people that I hadn't seen in such a long time. I stood in the line as people came through to see the bride and groom! Then there was dancing, cutting of the cake (which tasted so damn good haha), and even more dancing. As Kenzie was having her dance with my dad, Ash came running up to me and jumped onto my lap just bawling. I asked her what was wrong and she replied "I just can't believe that she is married!" Which then made me cry! But then there was more dancing which was hilarious to watch Mitchell dance like Michael Jackson hahahaha oh I love that little man! Then we saw them off by blowing a bunch of bubbles! Finally...the day had come to an end and we were EXHAUSTED!! It was a wonderful day full of flowers, laughter, pictures, smiles, dancing, cake, music, friends, family, and love!
