Happy Birthday Mitch & Max

Yesterday was my little brother, Mitchell's, 7th birthday!! I cannot believe how quickly he is growing up! He is the youngest of the 7 kids in the family. He was born on July 29, 2002, along with his twin brother, Max. Unfortunately Max arrived stillborn. Throughout the years, we still have our hard times with losing our baby brother and son but are so lucky to have Mitchell with us today. Every year we go to the cemetery to celebrate the twins birthdays. We write messages to Max on blue and white balloons and all let them go at the same time. Then Mitchell opens his presents and we sing happy birthday and eat angel food cake. This year when Mitchell ran up to the grave there was a present and a little stuffed doggie left for him from Max. Mitchell also had a stuffed doggie to leave for his brother. Later that night, we got together and had a family BBQ. Can I just say my family is seriously so much fun to be around! We had a pinata that Mitchell finally broke open and we all got a bag of candy and little toys! Then we sang happy birthday to Mitchell with his awesome baseball cake! Mmm I love cake...and apparently all over my face. Somehow, I am always the target when it comes to food fights. Ashlyn, our cute neighbor Lizzy, Hayden, and Mitchell, all thought it would be funny to take the rest of the cake and throw it in my face! I usually just let it go, but not this time. I chased all of them down until I got each of them! Yes, that's right, they got it all in the face just like I did haha!! Then it was clean up time...Ashlyn and I went and picked up all the cake and then sprayed it off with the hose. During our little cleaning event, we got a little carried away with the water! We filmed Ashie singing under the water like she was in rain haha little drama queen! I don't know where she gets it?? haha I am so glad that my family will be together forever! I don't know what I would do without them! I love them all so much and I can't wait for the day that we get to see and be with Max again!
