Mrs. Brooke Paulsen

One of my best friends got married this past month
and her day couldn't have been more perfect!
She was absolutely stunning!
All the events and activities we had leading up
to her big day were so much fun.
We had late night get togethers to help make things,
eyelash nights, her Bachelorette Party,
her wedding shower, and her wedding dinner.
All of which were beautifully put together
and so much fun!
Both families worked so hard to make sure
their day was perfect and it was!

Wedding Shower
We decided to throw Brooke a Tea Party Shower.
We got sandwiches, pastries, and desserts from
Elizabeth's Bakery.
We had it in our friend's backyard and
it turned out so great!
It fun to see our friends that we hadn't seen
in so long.
It was such a hot day and ended up
in the shade to open presents and play our game.
It was such a fun day
and was fun to see how well Brooke and Parker
really knew each other in our game!

The Bachelorette Party
We met at the Mariger's house and all went up
to Park City to go out to dinner and spend the night.
We went to dinner and Wasatch Brewery, yum!
Then we stayed over night at this amazing condo that had
it's own hot tub on the balcony.
We opened her sexy presents,
Brittany organized so many fun games for us to play,
danced around and ate junk food,
talked and had some great bonding moments as friends,
and sat in the over flowing hot tub
and shared more stories before we went to
bed at 4am.
It was so much fun!

The Wedding Dinner
Brooke and Parker's wedding dinner
was at The Market Street Grill.
It was set up so beutifully and
was such a yummy dinner.
I loved being able to hear
what each member of each family
had to say about Brooke and Parker
getting married!
It was full of emotions and laughter!
I loved hearing Brooke and Parker tell
each other how much they loved one
another and were excited to spend
forever together!
Then after the dinner I went back to Erin's
house where she, Lizzie, and Nicole were
still hanging out painting nails.
So I headed over there where we
soon after went to go pick up Brooke's
party dress to take up to Brooke's house.
We ended up sitting at the top of the stairs
with our close friends and Brooke's sisters and mom
laughing and sharing that time together.
We realized it was 1am and I still had a
drive to Bountiful and an early morning ahead!

The Wedding Day
We all met at the salon at 6am where Brookie was
getting her hair (and make-up by Lizzie) done!
Brooke was stunning!
She was so calm and so happy that this day
was finally here!
Lizzie and I went to the temple together
where we met up with our other friends to
wait for the married couple!
Officially Mr. & Mrs. Paulsen
It was such a special moment for me
when they came out of the temple.
There was such a spiritual and happy
presense that was there at that moment.
It was so calm and in no way overwhelming.
They took their time to say hi and hug
everyone that was there for them.
We took pictures around the temple
and then it was off again to Erin's house.
We all got ready together and ate Cafe Rio.
Then we met up at the house their
reception was held at on Haven Lane.
We took more pictures and then it
was time for the ring ceremony.
The ceremony was beautiful as well!
I loved hearing their vows they wrote
for eachother and the beautiful
song Rachel Hales sang.
After the ceremony we had
the wedding dinner which was sooo good!
The Bridesmaids were also told
to give their speeches at this time.
I had not thought about my speech at all other than
the prop I was going to tie in...
The Parker Bear!
I had the biggest crush on Parker
when we were Freshman and they were Seniors.
This crush was so big (and embarrassing, looking back)
that my friend Jenny and I
went to Build-A-Bear to make a
"Parker Bear".
When you press the bear's hand it says
"Wouldn't it be great if I were Parker right now"?
...I know right...
It was a HUGE crush, don't judge me haha!
So I tied it in by saying that Brooke and I had grown up
together since Kindergarten.
And growing up Brooke would always say
"I always get my way!"
And Brooke was still getting her way to this day
because she got to marry Parker!
But I wouldn't want it any other way
and couldn't be happier for them!
Then Brooke surprised Parker and sang
"Lullabye" by the Dixie Chicks
to him along with her sisters.
It was the most precious thing I have ever witnessed!
There was not a dry eye around!
The night continued on with socializing,
cake, ice cream & treats, videos,
more pictures and lots of dancing!
It's our tradition that our friends dance to
"Everything" by Michael Buble
at each of our weddings!
We sing that song at the top of our lungs
and dance like no one else is around!
It's our best tradition yet!
The day couldn't have been more perfect!
It wasn't stressful or overwhelming in any way.
There was so much happiness and peace
that everyone felt that day
that I know none of us will
ever forget it!
I am so greateful that I have such amazing friends.
You girls add so much fun to my life
and I couldn't ever imagine it without any of you!
I love you all xo xo
